Good News As President Ruto Vows No Retreat on Development Agenda Despite Criticism

President William Ruto has made it clear that his administration will not back down on its development plans, promising to deliver key infrastructure projects across the country despite tough economic times.

Speaking on the government's track record, the President insisted that his team remains fully focused on changing Kenya's economic fortunes and will not retreat from its campaign promises.
At the heart of this nationwide push are major programs targeting affordable housing, local food production, universal healthcare, and digital jobs.
The government believes these specific sectors hold the key to creating steady employment for the millions of jobless youth, lowering the daily cost of living for families, and building a stronger economy from the ground up.
Instead of looking for quick fixes, the state is betting on long-term investments to fix deep-seated structural issues.
Addressing critics and growing public frustration over the slow pace of change, President Ruto stated that tax revenues are now being strictly managed to eliminate waste and curb public corruption.
He acknowledged that the country is going through a difficult financial patch but urged Kenyans to stand firm, arguing that building a solid economic foundation requires patience and tough choices before the real benefits can trickle down to the ordinary citizen.
This firm stance comes at a time when citizens are demanding better public services and absolute transparency in how public funds are spent.
By keeping its eyes on infrastructural development and social welfare, the government intends to ensure that resources reach all 47 counties equally.
Moving forward, the pressure is now on cabinet ministries and local contractors to complete these projects on schedule, helping the country cut reliance on foreign debt.
