Confusion as Headteacher of Top School Arrested After Allegedly Doing This to School Girls

Police in Kisii County have apprehended the headteacher of Rigena Comprehensive School in Gucha South Sub-County following severe child abuse accusations.

The senior school administrator was arrested on Friday after local residents, parents, and guardians raised formal complaints with security officers and the area chief regarding the safety of learners.

The suspect allegedly impregnated four schoolgirls who attend the institution located within Amaiko area, inside Tabaka Ward.
According to preliminary reports
from local administrative channels, one of the young victims involved in the matter has already given birth.
The remaining three students are reportedly at different stages of pregnancy, sparking widespread outrage among villagers and family members who accuse the head of exploiting his position of trust.
Following the arrest, Kisii County Deputy Governor Elijah Obebo addressed the public, strongly condemning the incident and commending the local police commander for acting swiftly to take the suspect into custody.
Obebo warned parents and local leaders against attempting to resolve the matter through informal traditional negotiations or accepting compromises that shield the suspect from legal consequences.
He stressed that the state will pursue the case fully to ensure justice for the underage minors.
Education officials from the ministry have already visited the institution to assess the situation and coordinate guidance programs for the affected learners.
Investigators are currently recording statements from the school staff, witnesses, and the victims to build a watertight case.
The suspect remains locked up at the station as detectives wrap up files before arraignment in court. Meanwhile, civil society groups are calling for long-term protection reforms in rural schools to protect children from predators.
